Why have we created an online Escape Room?
The cursed COVID-19 virus took us all by surprise. From one day to another we had to find the alternative of the live escape room experience, someting what you can play with your team but from your homes. We have modified our rooms a bit for the maximal online experience.
It's a very interesting concept:
People playing escape room games online using their smart phones or laptops and using the gamemaster as their avatar to do the heavy lifting for them, all this while staying at home
Now, as you can all imagine, this experience, although is applauded by our patrons, does not come close to the real thing. However it provides us all with 2 vital things:

You can support our gamemasters, whom are often university students with a bit of income during these hard times, moreover gives us a great opportunity to do what we love the most: Entertain You Guys!
Thats Okay but I can't imagine what this is all about!!!?
You are not alone, we assure you. It is just like the first escape room you have ever done. People were trying to explain to you what is about, but you only really got it once you have played it!
Now, this time with remote escaping you are in control of the gamemaster who is in the room, equipped with some camera items. He has evolved into something else with the help of top-shelf technology. He is now a virtual storyteller, a cameraman and a narrator at the same time.
Before your game, you all receive a link, where you can meet with your teammates in the cyber-space. We use Zoom.us to host our meetings. Once you all logged in, the gamemaster tells you the new rules and, shows you around quick, while briefing you in the mission.
Then you instruct him, just like playing a computer game. Go there! Open that! Check out the back of the pictures!
Once you have found something, like a little piece of clue, it is entered into your “online inventory”. That is nothing more just another camera where you can keep an eye on the stuff you have found as the game progresses.
And that is that. Same deal as before, unlock puzzles, find items and solve the mysteries of your chosen adventure.
Why should I give it a go?
Well first of all, lilkely if you are already reading this article you are also a lover of escape rooms and this is as close as you will get to play a game (hopefully not for too long) in the foreseeable future.
Second, you are all playing from the comfort of your home so everybody in your household is safe. As good as a quarintine game gets.
Third, its a great excuse to meet up with friends for a good hour to laugh and play together. Often we are hosting groups of friends coming from different countries. So its has a good social effect as well, solving puzzles together, while you are in lock down.
